easyJet has appointed Jan De Raeymaeker as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective January 20, 2025. He will succeed Kenton Jarvis, who, as previously announced, will take over from Johan Lundgren as Chief Executive on January 1, 2025.
De Raeymaeker is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Lineas, Europe’s largest private rail freight operator, where he oversees the Finance, Legal and Purchasing departments. Prior to his role at Lineas, he was CFO of Brussels Airlines, where he played a key role in transforming the company’s finance operations and contributed to a significant increase in passenger numbers as part of the airline’s commercial repositioning. Earlier in his career, De Raeymaeker held management positions at Arthur D. Little and De Valck Consultants, focusing on business strategy and technology.
Stephen Hester, Chair of easyJet, commented: “We are delighted to appoint Jan De Raeymaeker as our Chief Financial Officer. Jan has valuable experience in the airline and transport sectors, along with strong continental European insights. I look forward to working with Jan and Kenton as we strive to achieve our goal of being Europe’s most loved airline, delivering for customers, shareholders, and our people.”
Kenton Jarvis, Chief Executive Designate, added: “I am delighted that Jan will be joining easyJet in January 2025. His deep knowledge of the transport and airline sectors, combined with his financial and commercial expertise, will be highly beneficial as we work towards achieving our medium-term goals and fulfilling our purpose of making low-cost travel easy. I look forward to collaborating with him closely.”
