Bombardier has released that the manufacturing of major structural components for its first production Global 8000 jet is now underway at its facilities in Saint-Laurent (Québec), Red Oak (Texas) and Querétaro (Mexico). The Global 8000 is scheduled to enter service in the second half of 2025, with ongoing flight testing yielding positive results throughout the campaign.
The Global 8000 will have a range of 8,000 nautical miles and a remarkable top speed of Mach 0.94, opening up new city pair connections, including Dubai-Houston, Singapore-Los Angeles and London-Perth. With four true living spaces and a separate crew rest area, this business jet is designed for non-stop flights of up to 8,000 nautical miles. Additionally, it will offer the most generous cabin size in its class, along with the healthiest cabin environment.
In terms of in-flight experience, the Global 8000 will incorporate luxurious features from the Global 7500, significantly enhancing passenger comfort. Among these features is an available Principal Suite with a full-size bed and a stand-up shower in the en-suite. Other advancements will include entertainment control, the intuitive nice Touch CMS, OLED touch dial and Bombardier's l'Opéra directional audio sound system, ensuring an unparalleled cabin experience for passengers.
