The Moroccan Government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Embraer, aiming to initiate joint projects within Morocco’s aerospace sector. The agreement spans commercial aviation, defence and urban air mobility, underscoring a shared commitment to deepening collaboration and investment between Morocco and Brazil. The MoU reflects the two countries’ ambition to strengthen Atlantic ties as exemplary partners from the Global South.
The partnership sets out to leverage Morocco’s position in the aerospace market, identifying opportunities for both immediate and future benefits. It provides a framework to build an integrated sourcing ecosystem within Morocco, fostering innovation, economic growth, job creation, and skill development. Key initiatives will include incremental phases in training and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), alongside collaborations in Research and Technology (R&T) focused on decarbonisation, clean mobility, sustainable aviation and sustainable aviation fuel.

It marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of our aeronautics industry, reinforcing our commitment to excellence and attracting strategic investments from global industry leaders. The agreement will catalyse a deeper synergy between Morocco and the major industry leader, Embraer, accelerating our shared ambitions and unlocking potential for ground-breaking achievements in aerospace”.
