Eve Air Mobility (Eve) has appointed Embraer-CAE Training Services (ECTS) as its exclusive training provider for the new-generation of eVTOL aircraft. ECTS, a joint venture between Embraer and CAE Inc., will oversee training programmes for Eve’s eVTOL pilots, maintenance technicians and ground support teams, all under the newly launched Eve TechCare service portfolio, which offers an all-encompassing service package for eVTOL operators.
Established in 2007, the Embraer-CAE joint venture initially focused on training for Embraer’s Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 aircraft. Since then, it has grown significantly, now operating nine full-flight simulators worldwide and planning further expansions in 2025. Earlier this year, the venture marked a pivotal achievement with the deployment of the first E2 full-flight simulator in Asia, demonstrating its commitment to providing global training solutions. With CAE’s extensive network of training centres, ECTS will deliver the high-quality training and customer support for which it is known, now tailored to Eve’s innovative eVTOL fleet.
Safety will be essential to the adoption and growth of advanced air mobility (AAM) and highly trained personnel are key to safe operations,” said Alexandre Prevost, CAE’s Division President, Business Aviation Training and ECTS Board Member. “As part of the long-term agreement, CAE will be responsible for producing all equipment and courseware for pilot, maintenance and ground handling training for Eve Air Mobility. CAE continues to make significant investments in AAM to deliver innovative and immersive products and training solutions that are specifically tailored to the industry and today’s learners.”
The partnership between Eve and ECTS marks a significant advancement for the emerging eVTOL sector. By combining Eve’s pioneering technology with ECTS’s established training expertise, the collaboration is set to support the seamless integration of eVTOLs into the aviation landscape.
