Daher has launched the Daher Learning Centre in Colomiers, near Toulouse, France, to address the growing demand for technical skills in the aerospace industry and support the rapid pace of industrial programmes. The 1,000 m² facility, including a state-of-the-art 650 m² technical workshop, is designed to provide tailored training for up to 40 learners at a time.
The centre offers programmes for key technical roles, such as systems mechanics, assembly fitters and cabin integrators. Training modules range from short courses lasting one-to-three days to more intensive career transition programmes lasting one-to-three months.
Since the early 2000s, Daher has prioritised skills acquisition and knowledge transfer as part of its strategy for supporting employees and clients. The new centre aims to alleviate the shortage of technical skills while enhancing Daher's position as a leader in industrial services. In 2024, nearly 700 learners were trained, with a target of 1,300 trainees set for 2025.
“The Daher Learning Centre is designed to meet our internal training needs for current and future roles, as well as those of our clients,” said Jérôme Leparoux, Daher's Secretary General and Human Resources Director. “It forms part of a comprehensive training framework that supports our diverse activities, from aircraft manufacturing to logistics and industrial services, ensuring our teams work effectively on customer production lines.”
Daher's investment in this facility underlines its commitment to fostering the technical talent required for the aerospace industry's growth. Combining theoretical and practical training, the centre provides a concrete solution to the shortage of qualified professionals, reinforcing France's leadership in the global aerospace market.
