Icelandic MRO and AOG services provider, Ground Maintenance Technics (GMT), has selected TrustFlight Ltd.'s Centrik 5 platform to achieve compliance with the EASA Part 145 Safety Management System (SMS) mandate. In addition to meeting regulatory requirements, GMT aims to leverage the platform's capabilities to improve operational efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance safety throughout its organisation.
GMT provides line maintenance and AOG services for major airlines globally, servicing a wide range of aircraft, including Airbus A318/319/320/321/330, Boeing 737/747/757, and various Embraer models. As the company continues to expand, GMT remains committed to prioritising safety and quality, according to Albert Óskarsson, Director of Compliance. “When evaluating our options, it was clear that TrustFlight's system was a preferred solution among many of our customers. After initial consultation and a demonstration of its capabilities, it was apparent as to why,” Óskarsson explained.
Centrik 5 offers a comprehensive digital solution, replacing traditional paper-based processes with a fully integrated system that includes modules for Safety, Compliance, Risk, Training, Workflows, Documents, and Regulations. By implementing the platform, GMT expects to streamline its processes, achieve greater operational efficiency, and maintain high safety standards while ensuring continuous growth and adaptability.
Karl Steeves, CEO of TrustFlight, highlighted the recognition Centrik has gained within the aviation industry for its robust safety management system (SMS), quality management system (QMS), and risk management capabilities. “Centrik is used in nearly every sector of aviation, and we're proud to share that specialised organisations such as GMT have recognised the value that our system brings to their processes, above and beyond basic compliance,” said Steeves.
This partnership marks a significant step for GMT as it adopts industry-leading tools to align with regulatory mandates while driving improvements in safety, efficiency, and risk management across its global operations.
