ECS Group has inked a total cargo management (TCM) contract with JetSMART Airlines, South America’s low-cost carrier group. The contract, which began on January 1, 2025, marks the first-ever TCM agreement with a regional airline in South America.
JetSMART Airlines operates under four national air operator certificates (AOCs)—in Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Argentina—covering extensive domestic routes within these countries as well as international connections to Brazil, the U.S., Europe and Asia. With this four-year partnership, ECS Group will manage nearly 25,000 flights annually, driving the development of JetSMART Airlines’ domestic markets across its four national AOCs.
JetSMART Airlines, part of the Indigo Partners group, operates a modern fleet of A320 and A321 aircraft. Under the terms of the TCM contract, ECS Group will provide comprehensive support through its state-of-the-art control tower in San José, Costa Rica, with dedicated commercial and operational teams established in each of the four countries.

As part of the TCM contract, JetSMART Airlines will benefit from ECS Group’s total cargo expertise (TCE), ensuring the highest levels of quality, safety and security in its cargo operations. Additionally, JetSMART will gain access to advanced digital tools via ECS Group’s collaboration with CargoTec, including eBooking through CargoAI, capacity management and revenue optimisation platforms. These cutting-edge solutions will streamline operations, enhance efficiency and help JetSMART Airlines maximise its cargo potential across both domestic and international markets.
