EUROCONTROL's Aviation Learning Centre (ALC) and the JAA Training Organisation (JAA TO) have formalised a strategic partnership to enhance aviation training and address industry challenges. This collaboration, established through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to deliver comprehensive and innovative learning programmes, combining EUROCONTROL's expertise in air traffic management (ATM) with JAA TO's strong foundation in aviation regulatory training.
The partnership's primary goal is to meet the evolving needs of the global aviation industry by developing joint training programmes that empower aviation professionals. Initial efforts will focus on the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) domain, a rapidly growing area requiring specialised expertise. By pooling their knowledge and resources, EUROCONTROL and JAA TO aim to deliver high-impact, harmonised training solutions that contribute to a safer and more secure air transport sector.
EUROCONTROL Director General Raúl Medina highlighted the significance of this collaboration, stating:
“This new partnership with JAA TO will enable us jointly to strengthen our support to European aviation with a new range of high-quality courses, tools and services. Through this MoU, we will maximise synergies and deliver innovative solutions that advance safety and efficiency in our sector.”
Paula Vieira de Almeida, Chief Executive Officer of JAA TO, echoed this sentiment, emphasising the added value the partnership will bring to the aviation community:
“Partnering with EUROCONTROL to deliver high-impact, comprehensive joint training solutions will provide significant added value to the global aviation community. Such harmonised approach between our two top organisations will empower aviation professionals to gain lasting competence and foster a safe and secure air transport industry.”
By combining their core strengths, EUROCONTROL and JAA TO aim to foster innovation, improve safety and create a more efficient aviation ecosystem.
