SITA has announced a new partnership with Palo Alto Networks to deliver robust cybersecurity protection for mission-critical airport applications. This collaboration marks a significant milestone by integrating Palo Alto Networks' AI-powered cybersecurity platforms into SITA's CyberSecurity portfolio.
SITA will oversee management and operations through its CyberSOC, ensuring the protection of remote site access, mobile workforce, and critical airport assets such as check-in workstations, self-service kiosks, tablets, smartphones, and baggage scanners. This advanced solution is designed to enable smooth passenger flows, minimise downtime, and improve turnaround times, supporting the operational efficiency of airports.
The partnership incorporates Palo Alto Networks' Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Prisma SD-WAN Instant-On Network (ION) Devices, and Prisma Access to provide comprehensive network security, connectivity, and cloud-based protection, all managed by SITA.
This cutting-edge solution, branded as SITA Managed Security Service Edge (SSE), integrates a full suite of network security services, including Secure Web Gateways, intrusion detection, threat intelligence, next-generation antivirus (WildFire), DNS protection, SSL decryption, and data loss prevention. These services are seamlessly delivered via Palo Alto Networks' dedicated cloud platform.
As part of SITA's Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) framework, the SSE solution offers world-class security measures to safeguard digital infrastructure. It meets stringent requirements from industry compliance authorities such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and ISO 27000, addressing the high demands of CISOs across the aviation industry.
Through this collaboration, Palo Alto Networks will deliver next-generation cybersecurity solutions and software for SITA's Secure Service Edge, reinforcing protection across mission-critical aviation systems and beyond.
