Broward Aviation Services (BAS), a specialised aircraft parts provider, has acquired a Boeing 737NG aircraft (MSN 32798) from AerCap.
The dismantling of the aircraft, previously operated by South Korean carrier t'way Air, will take place at the AerCap Materials facility at Greenwood-Leflore County Airport in Mississippi and will be completed by mid-February.
Approximately 800 desirable salvaged parts will be removed from the aircraft, repaired and stored at BAS' hub airports in the United States and at the new facility in Shannon, Ireland, to support customers worldwide with MRO and AOG requirements.
BAS is focused on increasing its inventory and currently has a stock worth over US$60 million, with a particular focus on the Boeing 737NG. After the dismantling process, all parts will be sent to specialised workshops such as Jet Air MRO and Air Accessories & Avionics, both companies within the BAS group, for repair and overhaul.
BAS aims to expand its parts portfolio and recently dismantled a Boeing 737-700NG to increase its USM stock in order to support narrow-body operators and MROs looking for comprehensive and efficient component provision around the clock. The company also strives to further develop its capabilities and solidify its reputation as a trusted and reliable partner for lessors and airlines looking to sell older aircraft.
