RECARO Holding has published its 2024 financial results, reporting total revenue of €588 million and forecasting a continued growth trajectory in the years ahead. To support this expansion, RECARO Aircraft Seating launched the global “fit4growth” programme, designed to facilitate a seamless production ramp-up as the aviation industry surpasses pre-pandemic levels.

The “fit4growth” initiative focuses on delivering upcoming customer programmes, including collaborations with Southwest Airlines for the R2 economy-class seats on short- and medium-haul routes, Cathay Pacific’s PL3530 premium-class seating for long-haul flights, and Iberia’s R3 economy-class seats also for long-haul services. This strategic emphasis underpins RECARO’s continued investment in product development, securing high order volumes and reinforcing its market leadership in economy class seating.

In the business class segment, RECARO is making notable strides, increasing its market share through several key programmes such as its partnership with LATAM Airlines. These efforts bring the company closer to its ambition of becoming a market leader in the business class sector.

Parallel to these initiatives, RECARO is advancing its cross-site “space2grow” programme, aimed at expanding and upgrading facilities to meet the growing demands of its workforce and operations. The company hired over 300 new team members worldwide in 2024 and continues active recruitment as market momentum builds. Notably, the Polish site is scheduled to complete the construction of a new production and office building by 2026.

With an order book exceeding €2 billion, RECARO Aircraft Seating is poised for a landmark year. The company’s strong position in economy class is reinforced, while its presence in the business-class market continues to expand. A significant milestone is expected in 2025, as the R3 long-haul economy-class seat programme, encompassing over 40 projects, ramps up bolstered by the successful inaugural Iberia A321XLR flight in November 2024. Additionally, insights from RECARO’s annual customer satisfaction survey reaffirm the company’s dedication to excellence as it prepares for sustained growth in the coming years.
