TrueNoord, a specialist regional aircraft leasing firm, has successfully upsized and syndicated a five-year Term Loan facility with BayernLB, solidifying their long-standing partnership. This latest transaction builds on earlier funding provided by BayernLB in 2023 and 2024 and introduces two new lenders to TrueNoord's financing group—Airbus Bank GmbH and Hamburg Commercial Bank (HCOB).
The expanded facility will support the financing of a diverse fleet of twenty-one aircraft, comprising turboprops and Embraer E-jets, enabling further growth of TrueNoord's regional portfolio. BayernLB served as sole structuring agent and mandated lead arranger, ensuring the complex process of upsizing and syndication was executed smoothly.
Joram Lieteart Peerbolte, Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel at TrueNoord, expressed satisfaction at welcoming Airbus Bank and HCOB into their lender circle, emphasising the financial community's ongoing confidence in TrueNoord as a secure investment partner. He praised BayernLB for its professionalism and efficiency in navigating the intricacies of the transaction.
TrueNoord now manages a fleet of over 100 modern regional aircraft, leased to more than 30 airlines across 24 countries. Recent additions to its European customer base include Eastern Airways, Emerald Airlines, Air Serbia, Widerøe, LOT, and Olympic Air, alongside further placements with existing partners Breeze Airways and Nexus Airlines. This strategic growth underlines TrueNoord's expanding influence within the regional aviation market.
