Avmax has confirmed a landmark agreement with Qantas, further bolstering its regional aircraft leasing portfolio. As part of the deal, Avmax has finalised the purchase of 19 Dash 8 Series aircraft, comprising three Dash 8-Q200s and 16 Dash 8-Q300s. The first Dash 8-200 sale under this agreement has successfully closed, marking a key milestone in the company's global expansion strategy.
In addition, Avmax has entered into a long-term lease agreement with Skytrans for the operation of three Dash 8-200 aircraft, ensuring its continued service in Australia. John Green, Senior Vice President at Avmax, expressed delight at strengthening the company's longstanding partnership with Skytrans. “This collaboration ensures the aircraft remain in operation in Australia, supporting Skytrans' ongoing growth and service reliability.”
Further strengthening its fleet, Avmax has signed a Letter of Intent for the acquisition of 16 Dash 8-Q300 aircraft from Qantas. These aircraft, renowned for their exceptional reliability, late serial numbers, and excellent maintenance history, are among the best available on the market. Steve Hankirk, CEO of Avmax, noted that the purchase of these well-maintained Q300s marks a significant step forward for the company. “We expect to receive the final aircraft by the end of 2025 and are currently in discussions with multiple operators regarding sale or lease opportunities. This deal benefits not only Avmax and our shareholders but also enhances every aspect of our business.”
With these acquisitions and partnerships, Avmax continues to expand its presence in the global regional aircraft market, offering high-quality leasing solutions to operators worldwide. The company remains committed to providing top-tier aircraft and tailored leasing solutions to meet the evolving needs of regional airlines and aviation partners.
