FlySafair, a South African low-cost airline, is set to benefit from a newly awarded long-term power-by-the-hour (PBH) support programme provided by AJW Group. Commencing on May 1, 2025, the agreement covers the airline's expanding fleet of thirty Boeing 737 New Generation (B737NG) aircraft, ensuring comprehensive component support and streamlined maintenance operations.
As part of the PBH arrangement, AJW Group will deliver pool access and full repair management services to FlySafair, thereby enabling greater operational efficiency and reliability. The support programme will play a pivotal role in maintaining aircraft availability and minimising downtime, crucial for an airline operating in a competitive and dynamic market.
This partnership marks a significant milestone for AJW Group, as it extends its B737NG PBH customer base into South Africa. The contract not only reflects FlySafair's commitment to operational excellence but also underscores AJW Group's capability to deliver tailored support services across diverse global regions.
FlySafair will benefit from AJW's extensive inventory of Boeing B737 spare parts, bolstered by its in-house maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) expertise through AJW Technique in Montreal. In addition, the support programme is backed by AJW's wide-reaching network of global repair contracts, ensuring access to high-quality maintenance solutions wherever needed.
AJW Group's flexible, customer-focused approach is designed to adapt to the unique demands of the South African aviation environment. By partnering with AJW, FlySafair secures not only technical support but also a strategic maintenance solution that aligns with its ongoing growth and fleet expansion ambitions.
