Vietjet, Vietnam’s largest private airline, has signed an MoU (memorandum of understanding) with Airbus at the Paris Air Show, for the purchase of 100 A321neo single-aisle aircraft, with the potential to expand the deal to include an additional 50 aircraft in the future.
The agreement was formalised by Vietjet CEO Dinh Viet Phuong and Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus Executive Vice President Sales for Commercial Aircraft.
Vietjet currently operates a fleet of over 100 Airbus aircraft and continues to pursue an ambitious strategy of global network expansion and fleet modernisation.
The A321neo, the largest variant in the A320neo family, delivers exceptional range, performance and environmental benefits. Featuring new-generation engines and Sharklet wingtip devices, the aircraft offers more than 20% fuel savings and CO₂ reduction, alongside a 50% reduction in noise, all while providing superior passenger comfort with the widest single-aisle cabin in the sky.
As of the end of May 2025, over 7,000 A321neo aircraft have been ordered by more than 90 customers worldwide.
