Mahindra Aerostructures (MASPL) and Aernnova Aerospace SAU (Aernnova) have signed a multi-year agreement worth around US$300 million. Under the terms of this partnership, MASPL will manufacture metal sub-assemblies and components for various Airbus aircraft as well as Embraer’s aircraft families, including the Embraer C390 Millennium military transport aircraft. The parts will be supplied to Aernnova’s sites across Spain, the UK, Portugal and Brazil. This contract deepens a longstanding relationship that began in 2013 while the collaboration marks a strategic strengthening of Aernnova’s global supply base.

Ricardo Chocarro, CEO of Aernnova, highlighted that the partnership will help meet the company’s production ramp-up needs across all programmes. He expressed confidence in MASPL’s industrialisation capabilities, noting their technological strengths and the support of Aernnova’s technical teams.

Dr. Anish Shah, Group CEO and MD of the Mahindra Group, expressed appreciation for Aernnova’s trust in MASPL. He indicated that as Mahindra continues to invest in its aerospace ventures, it is eager to scale the partnership further and reach new milestones.

Arvind Mehra, Managing Director and CEO of MASPL, described the Aernnova relationship as pivotal from the company’s inception. The new contract not only builds on MASPL’s existing relationship with Aernnova’s UK subsidiary but also enhances prospects for increased manufacturing in India. Mehra pointed to ongoing investments in capability, process maturity, and sustainability as key factors in MASPL’s readiness to support increased production demands.

Aernnova has supported MASPL since the early development of its Indian facility, including design input and skills development. The partnership entered a new phase when Aernnova acquired Hamble Aerostructures in 2020, a key MASPL customer. The new contract is the result of ongoing engagements and shared strategic planning. Both companies plan to expand the collaboration further in the years to come.
