Munich-based electric aircraft manufacturer VÆRIDION has announced a major step forward in its Microliner programme with the confirmation of ASL Group as its official launch customer, the formation of a Market Advisory Committee, and new propulsion development partnerships with leading aerospace firms.
ASL Group, a pioneering business aviation operator with a growing semi-scheduled network, has placed an order for the Microliner and will become the aircraft’s first commercial operator once it enters service. Initially focusing on business travellers, ASL plans to expand its use of the Microliner to consumer and scheduled services as the technology matures, positioning the company at the forefront of sustainable aviation innovation.
The Microliner, VÆRIDION’s flagship aircraft, is designed to transform Regional Air Mobility (RAM) by offering fully electric, high-efficiency, and low-noise short-haul flights. It aims to unlock underused regional airports and smaller airfields, connecting areas that currently lack high-speed rail or motorway access, and offering a cleaner, faster alternative for regional travel.
In parallel with this commercial milestone, VÆRIDION has launched its Market Advisory Committee, which brings together key aviation stakeholders to support market and operational readiness. Confirmed participants include Aero-Dienst, ASL Group, Cirium, Copenhagen Air Taxi, CPH Helicopters, IBA, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, MBA, Monte, and TrueNoord, along with additional unnamed contributors.
This collaborative initiative is intended to foster knowledge sharing and alignment across the aviation ecosystem, ensuring a smooth path to the Microliner’s entry into service and helping to shape the future of zero-emission regional air transport.
