GA Telesis has announced the immediate commencement of disassembly for an Airbus A321 aircraft, following its recent purchase from Magnetic Leasing (Magnetic). This move is part of the company’s strategic initiative to bolster its already extensive Used Serviceable Material (USM) inventory. The primary objective is to enhance support for global airline and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) customers by providing timely access to high-demand components, particularly for narrow-body aircraft such as the A320 family.

By disassembling the Airbus A321, GA Telesis aims to strengthen its inventory of components that are increasingly vital in the current aviation market. These parts will be made available through GA Telesis’ worldwide distribution network, ensuring quicker delivery and increased efficiency for maintenance operations across the globe.

Jim Sokol, President of GA Telesis’ Flight Solutions Group, emphasised the strategic nature of the acquisition and disassembly. He stated, “This acquisition and disassembly reflect our strategic focus on investing in modern, in-demand platforms that meet the operational requirements of our customers.” He further highlighted the importance of maintaining a stock of fleet-relevant parts to meet tight turnaround times and operational demands.

Alex Vella, CEO of Magnetic Leasing, expressed optimism about the new relationship with GA Telesis, calling it a “key milestone” in Magnetic’s strategic development. He praised the smooth execution of the transaction and pointed to the deal as the first of many between the two companies.

This latest move underscores GA Telesis’ commitment to sustainability, lifecycle asset management, and delivering efficient aftermarket solutions. The company continues to position itself as a leader in global aviation support, facilitating cost-effective maintenance strategies and maximising asset value across the industry.
