WestJet has announced that as of June 1, 2025, Amanda Ierfino has officially assumed the role of Vice-President, Sales & Cargo. This new appointment aligns with WestJet's long-term strategy to drive growth, enhance partnerships, and deliver high-quality service.
Amanda has played a pivotal role in shaping and executing WestJet's corporate and agency sales strategy. She has successfully leveraged the airline's Calgary-based operations to forge valuable partnerships across the travel and logistics industries. In her new, expanded role, she will continue to lead the Sales team while also assuming responsibility for WestJet's Cargo division.
Commenting on her appointment, Amanda stated: “Our partnerships have always been an essential part of WestJet's success. Both our Sales and Cargo teams are united by a strong commitment to supporting our valued partners, and that focus will remain at the core of everything we do. I'm excited to lead this next chapter with an emphasis on partnership, new opportunities and shared growth.”
This leadership transition comes at a crucial time, as WestJet prepares to phase out its dedicated freighter operations later in 2025. The Cargo team will shift its efforts toward optimising belly cargo services—making use of cargo capacity within the holds of passenger aircraft. By bringing Sales and Cargo under unified leadership, the airline aims to streamline its business-to-business approach, fostering closer collaboration, improved efficiency, and strengthened commercial partnerships.
Amanda Ierfino's appointment reflects WestJet's broader commitment to commercial excellence, operational optimisation, and future-facing innovation within the cargo and sales sectors.
