CDB Aviation has signed new lease agreements with Zhejiang Loong Airlines Co. (Loong Air) for six Airbus A321neo aircraft. The aircraft will be delivered in 2027 from CDB Aviation's existing orderbook.
Headquartered in Hangzhou, Loong Air continues to expand its footprint in the Chinese and regional aviation markets. The Airbus A321neo, the largest aircraft in the A320neo family, is recognised for its fuel efficiency, lower carbon emissions, and extended range—features that align with Loong Air's sustainability ambitions and plans to enhance operational efficiency. These new aircraft will enable the airline to increase capacity on high-demand routes while maintaining a strong focus on cost-effectiveness and environmental stewardship.
Jie Chen, CEO of CDB Aviation, stated: “We are pleased to strengthen our partnership with Loong Air through this transaction, which underscores our commitment to supporting the growth of China's aviation sector. The A321neo's superior economics and passenger comfort align perfectly with Loong Air's vision of expanding its domestic, international and regional network.”
Loong Air, founded in 2011, currently operates a fleet of over 70 Airbus A320-family aircraft. This latest agreement represents a significant step forward in the ongoing collaboration between the two companies.
