SkyWorks Holdings has reported a dynamic second quarter for 2025, marked by the completion of several high-profile aviation transactions and the securing of new advisory mandates across its global platform.
Among the highlights of the quarter was the completion of a significant assignment for SAS – Scandinavian Airlines, which resulted in an order for up to 55 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. This move signals a substantial fleet renewal effort and positions SAS for enhanced operational efficiency and regional network flexibility. Additionally, SkyWorks finalised an assignment for Alaska Airlines focused on optimising its fleet strategy, including long-term aircraft mix, sizing and future requirements, supporting the carrier's strategic planning objectives.
In the leasing and asset sales segment, SkyWorks arranged the sale of three Boeing 737-700 aircraft on behalf of a U.S.-based investor. The aircraft, leased to Eastern Air Express, were acquired by FTAI Aviation, further cementing SkyWorks' position in complex aircraft transactions.
The firm also played a key role in fleet restructuring for a Latin American airline, navigating financial and operational pressures, and was engaged by Azul Brazilian Airlines to support its fleet restructuring process amid ongoing Chapter 11 proceedings in the United States.
SkyWorks continues to attract advisory roles from North American low-cost carriers, with three separate engagements during the quarter. These include an aircraft order campaign, a comprehensive review of commercial and fleet plans, and an initiative involving sale-and-leaseback financing for Pratt & Whitney PW1100G engines.
Rounding out the quarter's activity, a global helicopter operator enlisted SkyWorks to assist with the acquisition of certain helicopters currently on lease, reflecting the company's breadth of expertise across both fixed-wing and rotary aviation sectors.
