ST Engineering MRAS has been chosen by JetZero to design and manufacture the exhaust nozzle for JetZero’s full‑scale all‑wing demonstrator aircraft, a next‑generation platform intended to significantly cut fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Working alongside JetZero and its propulsion system partners, ST Engineering MRAS will contribute engineering, design and manufacturing expertise for the exhaust nozzle, a key element of the aircraft’s propulsion system and overall performance.
JetZero’s demonstrator aims to validate advanced technologies that could reduce fuel burn and carbon emissions by up to 50%, supporting the aviation sector’s net‑zero emissions target by 2050. The aircraft also addresses the forecast doubling of passenger demand by 2040, while offering design flexibility for future military and cargo applications. Flight testing of the demonstrator is scheduled to begin in 2027.
JetZero President and COO Dan da Silva said the demonstrator forms part of its strategy to “de‑risk the design and create the path for production and certification,” noting that collaboration with experienced suppliers such as ST Engineering MRAS provides added confidence in the programme’s success.
ST Engineering MRAS has extensive experience in aerostructures and nacelle manufacturing, from design and testing to flight certification. The company uses advanced composite manufacturing and automated production systems to ensure quality and efficiency in nacelle component fabrication.
