Trax, a global provider of paperless aviation maintenance and engineering software, announced the expansion of its agreement with JetBlue Airways to include an additional eMobility app and Trax's cloud hosting solution. This strategic move supports JetBlue's vision to fully digitise its TechOps function, driving efficiency, operational resilience, and scalability.
JetBlue currently uses Trax solutions to manage the airworthiness and regulatory compliance activities of its fleet of more than 280 aircraft. The introduction of Trax's eMobility planning control app will optimise maintenance planning and scheduling, improve technician productivity and reduce the risk of operational disruptions. It also positions JetBlue for future upgrades, including Trax's advanced eMRO solution.
Additionally, JetBlue will benefit from Trax's cloud hosting services, the company's fastest-growing digital transformation offering. Hosting on Trax's scalable infrastructure will help JetBlue lower operational costs, optimise resource allocation, and focus on core airline operations. Trax will provide 24/7 monitoring and support from its Hosting Operations Centres in Miami and Chennai, using advanced dashboards for proactive performance management and real-time support.
“Moving to a fully digital ecosystem is a critical element of delivering reliable and caring service as part of our JetForward programme. Trax's Planning Control app and transition to the cloud from a hosted server environment not only accelerates aircraft planning and scheduling efficiencies, but it also allows easier and more rapid adoption of both internal and externally developed AI tools to deliver better service to our customers,” said David Marcontell, JetBlue's Vice President – Technical Operations.
