AerSale Corporation (AerSale) has announced that its AerAware Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) has received validation from Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA), marking a key milestone in expanding the technology’s international reach.
AerAware is the first EFVS to integrate a wearable head‑up display (HUD) with advanced infrared imaging and synthetic vision technology. This combination enables pilots to see clearly in conditions such as darkness, smoke, haze and other reduced visibility environments. The system significantly improves situational awareness and operational flexibility, supporting safer take‑offs and landings, even during challenging weather.
AerSale Chief Executive Officer Nicolas Finazzo said that the validation is more than just a regulatory milestone, describing it as recognition of the company’s mission to enhance flight safety and redefine pilot visibility. He said AerAware represents a new era in aviation, in which advanced vision systems could become standard equipment for operators around the world.
With TCCA’s validation, Canadian operators can now install AerAware on their aircraft, enhancing safety and operational performance. The approval is also expected to pave the way for additional international certifications, positioning AerAware as a leading solution for airlines seeking to upgrade their flight technology and safety standards.
This development strengthens AerSale’s role in delivering next‑generation aviation technologies and underlines the growing importance of enhanced vision systems in global aviation safety strategies.
