Air Cargo Community Frankfurt e.V. has announced the appointment of Frank Bauer, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Lufthansa Cargo AG, as its newest board member. In his role, Bauer will represent Lufthansa Cargo, strengthening the company’s involvement in the influential association that brings together over 100 organisations across the air freight supply chain at Frankfurt Airport.
Bauer, who officially became COO of Lufthansa Cargo on July 1, 2025, has a wealth of experience within the Lufthansa Group and the wider aviation industry. His career has included senior roles on the management board of Eurowings as well as leadership positions in controlling and risk management. Since August 2023, he has been part of the Lufthansa Cargo executive team, where he has served in multiple capacities including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Human Resources Officer, and Labour Director.
His new responsibilities at Air Cargo Community Frankfurt will focus on fostering innovation and collaboration across Europe’s leading air cargo hub. Commenting on his appointment, Bauer said: “I am very pleased to be able to actively help shape the future of Air Cargo Community Frankfurt as a new board member. Frankfurt is one of the world’s most important air cargo hubs, and I am convinced that constructive collaboration within the community is a key driver for success and growth.
