MTU Maintenance Lease Services B.V., the leasing and asset management arm of MTU Maintenance (MTU), has inaugurated a new state-of-the-art parts supply warehouse in Zhuhai, China. This facility, the company’s third worldwide, strengthens its global logistics infrastructure alongside existing warehouses in the United States and the Netherlands.
The Zhuhai warehouse is designed to support key engine programmes including the CF6-80, CFM56-5B/7B, GE90 and V2500, ensuring essential resources are available for both operators and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) providers across the Asia-Pacific region. Operated by logistics partner Kuehne+Nagel, the site will serve MTU Maintenance Zhuhai—MTU’s joint venture and major MRO base in Asia—while also catering to the wider aviation market in the region.
One of the facility’s key advantages is bonded storage, which enables same-day or 24-hour shipping of parts, operating 24/7 throughout the year. Each shipment is accompanied by comprehensive digital documentation, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards and offering complete traceability—factors that are critical in today’s aviation sector.
The collaboration with Kuehne+Nagel ensures streamlined management of export, import, warehousing, and transport processes. This dependable logistics support extends to urgent scenarios, including aircraft-on-ground events and immediate requirements for line-replaceable units, providing reassurance for operators facing time-critical challenges.
With the addition of Zhuhai, MTU Maintenance has created a robust and fully interconnected global parts supply network. This expansion enhances its ability to provide consistent, rapid and reliable service worldwide, while reinforcing its position as a trusted partner to aviation operators across multiple markets.
