Bombardier has inaugurated its newly relocated and expanded component manufacturing facility in Moorpark, California, marking a significant step in strengthening its United States operations. The new 46,000-ft² site replaces Bombardier’s Los Angeles-area facility, which the company acquired in 2022, and provides a modern, state-of-the-art environment for the production of components used in its flagship Global 7500 and Global 8000 business jets.
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on August 20, 2025, and was attended by Janice Parvin, Chair of the Ventura County Board of Supervisors, community leaders, and Bombardier employees. With 30 employees currently based at the site, the company emphasised that the new facility reflects both the technical excellence of its workforce and the high standards associated with its world-class aircraft.
David Murray, Executive Vice President, Manufacturing, IT and Bombardier Operational Excellence System, highlighted the significance of the move, stating that it “secures our long-term presence in California” while strengthening the company’s U.S. manufacturing base. He described the Moorpark site as a symbol of Bombardier’s ongoing commitment to innovation, high-quality employment, and regional partnerships.
The relocation and expansion form part of Bombardier’s wider strategy to enhance its U.S. presence both in aircraft manufacturing and aftermarket services. Since leasing the Moorpark site in 2024, the company has steadily grown its role in the region, reinforcing its commitment to local communities while integrating the facility into its global supply chain.
The new site not only anchors Bombardier’s long-term role in California’s aerospace sector but also underlines its ambition to lead in advanced engineering and component manufacturing for the business jet market.
