AAR CORP. subsidiary Airinmar has signed a multi-year extension of its support services agreement with Cebu Pacific, a low-cost airline based in the Philippines. The arrangement, which builds on a partnership that began in 2022, will see Airinmar continue to deliver its full suite of aircraft warranty management and value engineering support to Cebu Pacific.
Airinmar specialises in component repair cycle management and aircraft warranty solutions. Its services are designed to complement an airline’s internal materials management functions by maximising warranty recovery, reducing component repair costs, and lowering overall maintenance expenditure. For Cebu Pacific, this strategic support is especially valuable as the airline continues to grow its operations and expand its fleet.
Shevantha Weerasekera, Cebu Pacific’s Vice President for Engineering and Fleet Maintenance, highlighted the benefits of the collaboration, noting that Airinmar’s expertise has helped the airline manage its maintenance spending effectively while pursuing growth. He emphasised that the ability of Airinmar to tailor its services to Cebu Pacific’s operational needs has enabled the airline to innovate and seek continuous improvements in its maintenance processes.
The extension of this partnership reflects a shared focus on operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. By securing long-term support from Airinmar, Cebu Pacific positions itself to better control maintenance costs while scaling up its fleet, ensuring that its rapid growth is matched by sustainable operational practices.
