Acron Aviation, a provider of cutting-edge pilot training, simulation, avionics and flight data intelligence solutions to the aviation industry, has announced the launch of a new MRO centre in Bangalore, India. This move strengthens the company’s commitment to providing high-quality aviation support across the Asia-Pacific region.
To begin with, the location is strategic. Situated in Bangalore, the facility offers operators faster turnaround times and direct local support. As a result, airlines can reduce their reliance on overseas repair channels. At launch, the site will focus on the SRVIVR25 safety system, which is essential to onboard safety. However, expansion is already planned. Over the next three years, the scope of services will grow to include recorders, TCAS, and advanced display systems.
At the same time, Acron Aviation is pursuing critical certifications. The company is in the process of obtaining DGCA CAR 145 approval. Following this, it intends to secure FAA, EASA, and CAAC certifications. Once achieved, these approvals will allow the Bangalore centre to serve both regional and international customers with globally recognised standards. This ensures that compliance and quality remain consistent across all locations.
Ronald Nye, Vice President and General Manager of Aftermarket at Acron Aviation, explained that the new facility is fully integrated with the firm’s global repair network. This integration guarantees uniform standards, established processes, and protection of intellectual property worldwide. Furthermore, Nye stressed that the investment directly responds to customer needs, particularly for lower logistics costs, faster repair cycles, and better local support.
Looking to the future, Acron Aviation envisions the Bangalore site as more than just a repair station. Instead, it will evolve into a regional hub for engineering, customer success, and field support. With this approach, the facility aims to improve reliability for airlines and operators across the Asia-Pacific. Ultimately, this project reflects Acron Aviation’s long-term strategy to combine technical expertise with customer-centred solutions, thereby driving greater efficiency and resilience in the region’s aviation sector.
