HAECO has secured a new contract with Brussels Airlines. Beginning in September 2025, HAECO will provide base maintenance support for the airline’s Airbus A330 fleet. The agreement will run for three years until 2028. Work will take place at HAECO’s 22-bay hangar at Hong Kong International Airport.
The deal marks the first time that HAECO will support Brussels Airlines’ A330 fleet. Under the agreement, HAECO Hong Kong will act as the exclusive base maintenance service provider for the carrier’s eleven Airbus A330-300 wide-body aircraft. Services will be carried out during the winter season and will include C-checks such as C1, C2 and six-year checks. These inspections are critical for ensuring continued safety and reliability in widebody operations.
HAECO’s Chief Commercial Officer, Gerald Steinhoff, welcomed the new partnership. He noted the importance of Brussels Airlines’ trust in HAECO’s EASA-approved Airbus A330 services. He added that HAECO’s 75 years of experience will help the airline maintain the highest levels of safety and quality.
Brussels Airlines has operated as an all-Airbus carrier since 2007. Its fleet now includes 46 aircraft, made up of A319s, A320s and A330-300s. Based at Brussels Airport, the airline is a Star Alliance member and flies to more than 90 destinations in Europe, North America and Africa.
This agreement reinforces HAECO’s reputation as a trusted global MRO provider. At the same time, it strengthens Brussels Airlines’ ability to keep its wide-body fleet efficient, safe and reliable for long-haul operations.
