Otto Aerospace has confirmed its first fleet customer. Flexjet will serve as launch partner for the new Phantom 3500, an advanced business jet designed from the ground up for efficiency and sustainability.
The Phantom 3500 is a clean-sheet creation. It applies breakthrough laminar-flow aerodynamics and an all-carbon-fibre structure. This technology package reduces fuel burn by more than 60%, setting a fresh benchmark for private aviation. The jet is conceived not only to outperform rivals on range and performance but also to answer rising pressure for more responsible travel solutions.
Flexjet’s order is unprecedented in scale. The company has committed to 300 aircraft, with further options included. It stands as one of the largest orders ever placed with a business aviation manufacturer. The programme is on a clear timeline: first flight in 2027, followed by deliveries from 2030.
The agreement stretches beyond aircraft acquisition. Flexjet’s in-house maintenance organisation will be certified as an authorised Otto service centre, reinforcing its integrated approach to ownership and operations. Clients will benefit from seamless support, embedded within the operator’s existing global network.
For passengers, the Phantom 3500 will become part of Flexjet’s distinctive service model. This covers access to private terminals, curated destinations, tailored in-flight experiences, and membership privileges that extend to exclusive events. The new aircraft will allow customers to travel further, more sustainably, without compromise on comfort or style.
