Britten-Norman, the British maker of the iconic Islander aircraft, has introduced a new Aircraft Brokerage and Trade-In Service. The programme gives operators full lifecycle support, allowing them to upgrade to new Islanders with ease. The company will handle aircraft sales, trade-ins, or refurbishments to keep fleets operational without interruption.
The service is already in use. Britten-Norman is marketing two BN2A-21 Islanders for Luxembourg-based CAE Aviation. These aircraft, used for surveillance for more than ten years, can be reconfigured for passenger or cargo use. Each can carry up to ten passengers, offering buyers flexibility to match their operational needs.
Drawing on its technical expertise and OEM records, Britten-Norman provides full support throughout the process. Its sales team manages import and export paperwork and connects sellers with global buyers. Operators can also keep their aircraft in service until new deliveries arrive, avoiding costly downtime.
With Islander production now increasing at the company’s expanded UK line, the new programme offers a seamless transition to modern aircraft. Britten-Norman manages everything — from remarketing and refurbishment of existing models to delivery of factory-built replacements.
Charlotte Britton, Head of Sales, said the new service simplifies fleet renewal. “Operators want a straightforward way to refresh their fleets with minimal disruption,” she explained. “Our brokerage and trade-in service allows them to move to the next generation of Islanders while keeping current aircraft in use until replacements are ready.”
Available to Islander operators worldwide, the Brokerage and Trade-In Service offers a simple route to modernisation. It provides access to both new and pre-owned aircraft, ensuring smooth, fully managed transitions backed by Britten-Norman’s long-standing industry expertise.
