CAE has signed an agreement to deliver a Boeing 737MAX full-flight simulator to MAB Academy, the training division of Malaysia Airlines Group. The move builds on nearly two decades of collaboration between the two companies. It reflects their shared goal of improving pilot training and operational safety.
The simulator will be installed at MAB Academy’s new training facility in Sepang. It is expected to begin operations by July 2026. When in service, it will expand training capacity and strengthen Malaysia Airlines’ position as a leading aviation training provider.
The announcement coincided with the visit of Canada’s Prime Minister, Mark Carney, to Malaysia for the ASEAN Summit. His presence highlights Canada’s continued support for international partnerships and its promotion of aerospace technology abroad.
The new Boeing 737MAX simulator will feature CAE’s Prodigy Image Generator, powered by Epic Games’ Unreal Engine. This system produces lifelike visuals and dynamic motion, creating a realistic and immersive experience. Pilots will gain better situational awareness and confidence during training.
MAB Academy already operates ATR 72-500 and A330 NEO simulators, certified in 2025. Together, these systems position Malaysia Airlines as a trusted regional hub for advanced pilot training.
