Joramco, the Amman-based aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) specialist and engineering arm of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), has officially launched operations at its new “Hangar 7” facility.
The launch ceremony took place on October 27, at Joramco’s headquarters within Queen Alia International Airport. The event gathered government officials, airport representatives, long-term partners, and senior executives from leading global aviation firms.
For the occasion, Hangar 7 was transformed into an elegant event space. A striking 3-D light projection and mapping display illuminated both the aircraft and the hangar walls, creating an immersive visual experience that celebrated innovation and progress.
Jeff Wilkinson, Chief Executive Officer of DAE Engineering, hailed the opening as a defining moment in Joramco’s evolution. “This A380-capable Hangar starts the next chapter of Joramco’s growth and ongoing transformation journey,” he said. “It reflects our commitment to operational excellence and marks a major milestone in our long-term expansion strategy.”
The addition of Hangar 7 boosts Joramco’s maintenance capacity from 17 to 22 lines. This expansion allows the company to serve more customers and manage a wider variety of aircraft at the same time.
Furthermore, Joramco expects a 30% increase in total manhours, reaching over two million annually. The new hangar strengthens its ability to handle complex, large-aircraft projects, including the Airbus A380, while maintaining its reputation for technical expertise and efficiency.
With this latest investment, Joramco continues to position itself as a leading MRO provider in the Middle East, combining advanced infrastructure with world-class engineering standards to meet growing global demand.
