Saab and Airservices Australia have signed a master service agreement covering the airports in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, reinforcing a long-standing commitment between the two organisations. Under the agreement, Airservices Australia will deploy Saab’s advanced tower automation system, incorporating the latest version of the Saab Integrated Air Traffic Control Suite (I-ATS), which will be installed and kept up to date at the country’s largest airports. The solution also has the potential to be extended to additional airports. Saab will furthermore establish an ATM centre of excellence in Australia to support Airservices Australia in its operations, paving the way for increased digitalisation and long-term development across the Australian aviation sector.
Cecilia Larsson, head of Saab Air Traffic Management, said the company was transforming its product portfolio to meet the demands of the evolving digital landscape and looked forward to shaping this future in close collaboration with Airservices Australia.
