Aergo Capital (Aergo) has completed the acquisition of a Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft from Aircastle. The aircraft, manufacturer serial number 60513, is currently on lease to Canadian airline WestJet.
Fred Browne, Chief Executive Officer of Aergo Capital, commented: “We are pleased to complete the acquisition of this Boeing 737 MAX 8 from Aircastle. I would like to thank both teams for their effective collaboration in delivering this transaction, and we look forward to working with Aircastle again in the future. I also extend my thanks to WestJet for their continued partnership and support.”
The transaction further strengthens Aergo’s narrow-body portfolio and is consistent with the company’s strategy of investing in highly sought-after, next-generation aircraft placed with leading airline operators. The Boeing 737 MAX 8 offers enhanced fuel efficiency and improved operating economics, supporting airline efforts to optimise fleet performance while reducing operating costs and emissions.
Michael Inglese, Chief Executive Officer of Aircastle, added: “We value the long-standing trading relationship we have built with Aergo and appreciate the efficiency and professionalism shown by all parties throughout this transaction.”
The acquisition underscores the strong commercial relationship between Aergo and Aircastle and reflects sustained market demand for modern, fuel-efficient single-aisle aircraft operated by established carriers.
