Boeing and Aviation Capital Group LLC (ACG) have announced a significant new aircraft order, under which the global aircraft lessor will acquire 50 additional Boeing 737 MAX jets. The order comprises 25 737-8 and 25 737-10 aircraft, further deepening ACG’s long-term partnership with Boeing and reinforcing its commitment to next-generation, fuel-efficient aircraft.

The transaction represents a strategic investment aligned with ACG’s growth ambitions and its focus on maintaining a modern, in-demand fleet for airline customers worldwide. Commenting on the announcement, Thomas Baker, Chief Executive Officer and President of ACG, said the additional aircraft would enhance the overall quality and resilience of the company’s order book. He emphasised that the 737 MAX family plays a central role in ACG’s strategy to support airline customers with efficient, flexible narrow-body capacity.

“This order for additional 737 MAX aircraft enhances the strategic value of ACG’s order book, supports a key pillar of our growth strategy and reinforces our commitment to the latest fuel-efficient aircraft technology,” Baker said. He added that ACG is well positioned to offer customers a steady pipeline of new aircraft deliveries between 2026 and 2033, enabling airlines to plan fleet growth and replacement programmes with confidence. The inclusion of both the 737-8 and the larger 737-10 variants provides customers with operational flexibility across a range of network and capacity requirements.

With this latest purchase, ACG’s total Boeing 737 MAX order book increases to 121 aircraft, including 50 firm orders for the 737-10. As a result, ACG now holds the largest 737-10 order book of any aircraft lessor, underlining its role as a leading provider of this high-capacity narrow-body variant to the global airline market.

Aviation Capital Group is widely regarded as one of the world’s premier full-service aircraft asset managers. As of September 30, 2025, the company had approximately 470 owned, managed and committed aircraft in its portfolio, leased to around 90 airlines operating in roughly 50 countries. ACG specialises in commercial aircraft leasing and also offers a range of aircraft asset management services and financing solutions to third parties.
