Sabre Corporation (Sabre) has signed a new long-term agreement with AirBorneo, the newly established airline that commenced operations in early January 2026. From its first day of flying, AirBorneo has selected Sabre to support its planning and pricing strategy, embedding advanced technology at the core of its operations from the outset.
By adopting Sabre’s solutions even before taking to the skies, AirBorneo, which is owned by the government of the Malaysian state of Sarawak, aims to put in place strong operational foundations to support regional connectivity and long-term growth. The airline is also seeking to ensure it can respond quickly to market developments while delivering a seamless experience for passengers.
Under the multi-year agreement, AirBorneo will deploy Sabre’s Network Planning and Optimisation suite to automate and efficiently manage flight schedules, codeshare arrangements and route profitability. It will also implement Sabre Mosaic Revenue Optimizer to support its pricing strategy by dynamically adjusting seat availability and fare conditions in line with market demand and business objectives. In addition, the airline will use Sabre Market Intelligence and Global Demand Data to access critical insights and competitive benchmarks to support network and revenue growth.
“AirBorneo is committed to building a modern, competitive airline that enhances connectivity in Sarawak and the wider region,” said Megat Ardian Wira Mohd Aminuddin, CEO, AirBorneo Holdings. “By partnering with Sabre even before our first flight took off, we are ensuring that our pricing, planning, and revenue management capabilities are built on a robust, data-driven foundation. This will enable us to serve our first – and future – passengers effectively, make smarter business decisions, and set the stage for sustainable growth.”
