Trax has signed a multi-year contract expansion with Air Atlanta Icelandic, further strengthening a relationship that spans more than 25 years. Following Air Atlanta Icelandic’s upgrade to Trax’s eMRO platform in 2024, the airline has now elected to add Trax’s eMobility and cloud hosting solutions to further streamline maintenance operations, improve efficiency and enhance regulatory compliance.
The expanded deployment will enable engineers to manage defects digitally, support line controllers in coordinating aircraft turnarounds more effectively and transition maintenance workflows to electronic task card execution. Pilots will benefit from a fully electronic technical logbook, while technical teams will gain mobile access to manuals and documentation, reducing reliance on paper and ensuring real-time data accuracy.
By hosting all applications in Trax’s cloud environment, Air Atlanta Icelandic will benefit from enhanced scalability, security and system reliability, while also reducing infrastructure and IT overhead.
“eMobility enables our maintenance and operations teams to work more efficiently, with real-time access to data wherever it is needed,” said Gnupur Halldorsson, Director of IT at Air Atlanta Icelandic. “Combined with Trax’s cloud hosting, this provides a future-proof platform that supports both day-to-day operations and long-term innovation.”
