AxioAero Group (AxioAero), a newly established aerospace and aviation-focused holding company, has acquired Airway Aerospace LLC (Airway), a Florida-based repair station certified by the FAA, EASA and the UK CAA. The transaction represents AxioAero’s second acquisition, following the purchase of Aviation Concepts, LLC in January 2024, and underscores the Group’s strategy to build a portfolio of agile, customer-focused businesses serving critical segments of the aerospace aftermarket.
Founded in 2013, Airway provides maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services with a focus on accessories, airframe and powerplant repairs across commercial, cargo and defence aviation markets. Holding FAA, EASA and UK CAA repair station approvals, together with RS-DER repair authority and Owner-Produced Parts capabilities, the company delivers high-demand component repair solutions. Its specialist expertise spans hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, flight controls, thrust reversers, nacelles and fixed-wing structures.
Airway supports a broad range of aircraft platforms, including narrow-body aircraft such as the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 family, wide-body aircraft including the Boeing 747 and 767 and the Airbus A300 and A330, as well as Boeing 707 military variants. Operating from two facilities in Doral, Florida, the company has built long-standing customer relationships through rapid response, flexible solutions and deep technical capability.
Airway will continue to operate under its existing name and leadership team. AxioAero’s investment is intended to support the company’s next phase of growth while preserving its culture, identity and small-business agility.
Joe Ferrer, owner of Airway, said: “For more than a decade, we have taken pride in building Airway into a trusted repair partner recognised for reliability, responsiveness and an unwavering commitment to quality. Our success is driven by the dedication of our team and the strong relationships we have built with our customers. We see AxioAero Group as the ideal partner to support our continued growth while safeguarding the standards and values that define Airway.”
