Boeing and Air Cambodia have announced the airline’s largest single-aisle order for up to 20 737 MAX aircraft, revealed at the Singapore Airshow. This marks the Southeast Asian carrier’s first purchase of Boeing’s fuel-efficient aircraft.
Air Cambodia finalised a firm order for ten B737-8 jets in December 2025, with options for a further ten aircraft. The order had previously been listed as unidentified on Boeing’s Orders and Deliveries website.
With the 737 MAX, Air Cambodia will renew and expand its fleet as air travel plays an increasingly important role in connecting people and places across the region. The airline will utilise the 737-8’s range, efficiency and passenger comfort features to support its growing network of high-demand routes throughout Asia.
“The 737-8 offers Air Cambodia the ideal combination of range, capacity and fuel efficiency to support our next phase of growth,” said Dr David Zhan, Chief Executive Officer of Air Cambodia. “This investment — our largest narrowbody purchase — will enable us to launch direct services to key markets across North and Southeast Asia, offer competitively priced travel for passengers, and create local jobs and training opportunities that strengthen our communities.”
