Eve Air Mobility (Eve) has signed its second binding order with Tokyo-based AirX, a leading Japanese provider of innovative air mobility services. The agreement includes the purchase of up to 50 electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, representing an important step towards developing sustainable urban air mobility solutions in Japan.

Johann Bordais, Chief Executive Officer of Eve Air Mobility, described the partnership as a landmark moment for the Asia-Pacific region. He said the first agreement between the companies goes beyond a milestone, signalling the beginning of a new era that could reshape the future of urban transport. Bordais highlighted Asia-Pacific’s potential to play a leading role in the global shift towards cleaner, more sustainable air transportation, with Eve and AirX working together to redefine how cities connect and move.

Under the terms of the deal, AirX will integrate Eve’s advanced eVTOL aircraft into its operations, supporting its ambition to provide efficient, zero-emission travel options for both urban and regional journeys. The first two aircraft are expected to be delivered in 2029, with opportunities to expand further as demand for next-generation air mobility increases.

Eve’s eVTOL aircraft are designed to deliver safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible transport. Using cutting-edge technology, they aim to reduce noise and emissions while improving the overall passenger experience, positioning them as a key solution for the future of sustainable city travel.
