BOC Aviation has appointed Adeline Lim as Chief Risk Officer with effect from May 25, 2026.
In her new role, Lim will lead the company’s global risk management function, oversee airline credit risk and enterprise risk, while shaping and executing the group’s overall risk strategy and governance framework.
She succeeds Stephen Barnes, who will remain with the company during a transition period ahead of his retirement.
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Steven Townend said Lim’s broad experience across multiple roles, regions and leasing platforms would strengthen the company’s management team, while also thanking Barnes for his long-standing contribution to the business.
Lim brings more than 13 years of experience in aircraft leasing. She began her career as an aerodynamics engineer at DSO National Laboratories before joining BOC Aviation as a risk analyst focused on maintenance exposure across the portfolio. She later covered airline risk across Asia, Europe and the Americas, including from the company’s London office, and also worked in the CEO’s office.
Prior to rejoining BOC Aviation, she served as Executive Vice President, Portfolio Risk Management at SMBC Aviation Capital. Lim holds a CFA designation and a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering from Nanyang Technological University.
