easyJet has added its 100th Airbus A320neo-family aircraft to its fleet, reinforcing its commitment to modernisation and lower-emission operations.
The aircraft was handed over in Hamburg, Germany, and joins easyJet’s all-Airbus fleet, which now stands at 359 aircraft. The delivery reflects the airline’s continued investment in newer, more fuel-efficient technology as part of its long-term decarbonisation strategy.
All new A320neo-family aircraft entering the fleet will feature Airbus’ latest Airspace cabin, designed to enhance passenger comfort and accessibility. Improvements include upgraded lighting, a refreshed cabin colour scheme and braille indicators on seat row placards to assist visually impaired passengers.
Additional features include increased shoulder room, improved cabin lighting, redesigned touchless lavatories and a greater use of repairable and recycled materials. Cabin crew will also benefit from redesigned front and rear galleys with enhanced storage and dual ovens at both ends of the aircraft on A320neo and A321neo models.
Future deliveries will also incorporate new fixed LED multi-functional runway lights, replacing nose landing gear lighting to reduce weight and drag while improving reliability and visibility performance.
Powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines, the aircraft can currently operate using up to 50% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), with certification for 100% SAF use expected by 2030. Skywise-enabled digital systems will further support more efficient, data-driven operations across the fleet.
