American Airlines has appointed Paola Torri as Director of Operations for Mexico and Canada, a newly created leadership position aimed at supporting the airline’s continued growth and operational strength across two of its most significant international markets.
Torri assumes the role as part of a wider leadership transition across the region, building on the foundations laid by the late Tony Gutiérrez and José María Giraldo, who has since moved into a senior leadership position in the United States.
Torri brings more than 25 years of experience with American Airlines, most recently having served as People Business Partner for International, based in Mexico City, where she supported teams across Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean and the United States.
She will remain based in Mexico City and report to José A. Freig, Vice President of International and Inflight Dining Operations.
