Embraer has unveiled the upgraded Phenom 300EV, introducing new safety technologies, performance improvements and cabin enhancements to the world’s fastest and longest-range light jet.
The most significant addition is Garmin Emergency Autoland, making the Phenom 300EV the largest business jet equipped with the system, which can perform a fully automated landing in the event of pilot incapacitation. The aircraft also gains class-exclusive Autobrake for take-offs and landings, while a new Embraer-developed multi-purpose electronic controller integrates rudder-by-wire and other electronically controlled functions to reduce pilot workload and simplify maintenance.
The upgraded Garmin G3000 Prodigy Touch flight deck adds runway and taxi situational awareness, synthetic vision guidance, FANS 1/A+, RNP AR 0.3 and an inertial reference system. These complement existing features such as Autothrottle, Emergency Descent Mode and the Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System (ROAAS).
Performance improvements include an increased range of up to 2,055nm and a higher maximum zero-fuel weight, adding around 430lb of payload capacity. The aircraft also features new True Blue Power lithium-ion batteries and LED taxi and landing lights to improve reliability and dispatch performance.
Cabin upgrades focus on connectivity and passenger comfort. The Phenom 300EV will offer factory-installed Gogo Galileo low-Earth orbit satellite connectivity, while Starlink will be available as a retrofit through a supplemental type certificate (STC).
