Sigma Advanced Systems, the parent company of Nasmyth, has agreed to acquire UK aerospace manufacturer Bromford Precision Solutions (Bromford), strengthening the group’s manufacturing capabilities and reinforcing its position in the global aerospace and defence supply chain.
The acquisition expands Nasmyth’s expertise in complex aero engine structures, precision machining and critical engine components, broadening its manufacturing platform for leading aerospace OEMs and Tier One suppliers. Bromford’s specialist capabilities complement Nasmyth’s existing strengths, extending the group’s portfolio of high-value manufacturing solutions across the civil aerospace, defence and power generation sectors.
The enlarged group will offer customers a wider range of precision manufacturing services, from concept through production, while increasing manufacturing capacity, engineering expertise and supply chain resilience.
Founded in 1988 and based in Leicestershire, Bromford Precision Solutions specialises in the manufacture of complex aero engine rings, compressor casings, ducts, brackets and lock plates. The company is approved by Rolls-Royce and Siemens and is recognised for its advanced machining capabilities.
The transaction, valued at approximately £11.89 million (INR 153 crore), is expected to complete by the end of July 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
The acquisition forms part of Sigma Advanced Systems’ international growth strategy and will see Bromford integrated into Nasmyth’s UK manufacturing operations.
