Aviation Capital Group LLC (ACG) has signed lease agreements with Skymark Airlines for seven Boeing 737-10 aircraft, expanding the Japanese carrier’s fleet renewal and growth plans.
The first aircraft is scheduled for delivery in 2028 from ACG’s orderbook. Skymark plans to deploy the jets to increase capacity on key domestic routes from Tokyo Haneda Airport while improving fleet efficiency.
The agreement builds on an existing relationship between the companies following previous leases of Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
“We are delighted to support Skymark’s fleet modernisation plans,” ACG Chief Executive Officer Thomas Baker said. He said the 737-10’s higher seating capacity and operational flexibility make it well suited to airlines operating from slot-constrained airports such as Haneda.
Skymark President Yoshihiro Miwa said the carrier looks forward to introducing the 737-10, the largest model in Boeing’s 737 MAX family, as it expands capacity and enhances the passenger experience.
Skymark, which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026, operates a fleet of 30 Boeing 737-800 and 737-8 aircraft. The airline became the first Japanese carrier to introduce the 737-8 in May 2026, launching the type on its Tokyo Haneda-Fukuoka route.
