BermudAir has placed its first-ever order with Airbus, signing for ten A220-300 aircraft to support its next phase of growth and expand its network across Bermuda, the Caribbean and North America.
The order, revealed at the Farnborough International Airshow, had previously been listed in Airbus’ order book as an undisclosed customer in March. The acquisition also marks the A220’s entry into a new operating region in the Atlantic and Caribbean.
Configured with 135 seats in a three-class layout, the A220-300 will enable BermudAir to launch new non-stop routes and improve scheduling flexibility while supporting continued network expansion.
“The A220 is the ideal aircraft to support the next phase of BermudAir’s growth,” said Adam Scott, founder and CEO of BermudAir, citing the aircraft’s range, operating economics and performance at constrained airports, alongside its passenger comfort.
