Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have selected CFM International’s LEAP-1A engines to power a further 54 Airbus A321neo aircraft, extending the engine supplier’s position across the group’s entire A321neo fleet.
The latest agreement includes a long-term maintenance services contract and brings Jet2’s total commitment to 146 LEAP-powered A321neo aircraft, in addition to nine leased aircraft.
The deal builds on a partnership spanning more than 20 years and supports Jet2’s ongoing fleet expansion strategy. The airline said standardising on LEAP engines across its A321neo fleet will help deliver operational efficiency while supporting its focus on customer service.
